Kaiyuan Temple Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda located at Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China. It was built during the Liang Dynasty in the 6th century AD and is one of the oldest and largest Buddhist pagodas in China.


The pagoda has a height of 48.24 meters and a diameter of 2.4 meters at the base. It is octagonal in shape and consists of 7 levels, each with a balcony and a cornice. The pagoda is supported by a central pillar and surrounded by 8 smaller pillars. The exterior of the pagoda is covered with glazed tiles inlaid with Buddhist designs.


Inside the pagoda, there are 7 stories, each with a Buddha statue and Buddhist scriptures. The uppermost story contains a gold-plated Buddha statue that is said to weigh over 1,000 kilograms.


Kaiyuan Temple Pagoda is an important historical and cultural relic in China and is listed as a National Key Protected Cultural Site. It is visited by thousands of tourists and Buddhist devotees every year.
